Join the Washington DC Sunday Night Film Club this Sunday, Feb 11th at 5:35 p.m. for Factory Girl at the Landmark’s E Street Cinema . Look for Brian wearing a nametag in the theatre lobby about 15 minutes before the film. As always, after the film we will descend on a local establishment for dinner/drinks/discussion.
The year is 1965, and Edie Sedgwick’s (Sienna Miller) life changes forever when she meets Andy Warhol (Guy Pearce), New York’s most famous artist and creator of the legendary Factory. Transformed by Warhol from a trust fund baby into the Big Apple’s most dazzling superstar, Edie falls for singer-songwriter Danny Quinn (Hayden Christensen). Warhol is deeply stung and punishes Edie for her unfaithfulness by banishing her from the Factory. As her world collapses, Edie struggles to hold herself together—the pressures of fame turning her world from glamour to tragedy.
