Join the Washington DC Sunday Night Film Club this Sunday, Oct 18th at 4:30pm for Steve Jobs at the Landmark Atlantic Plumbing Cinema . Look for Laine wearing a purple jacket in the theatre lobby about 15 minutes before the film. As always, after the film we will descend on a local establishment for dinner/drinks/discussion.
Set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, Steve Jobs takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter. Michael Fassbender plays Steve Jobs, the pioneering founder of Apple, with Academy Award-winning actress Kate Winslet (The Reader) starring as Joanna Hoffman, former marketing chief of Macintosh. Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple, is played by Seth Rogen, and Jeff Daniels stars as former Apple CEO John Sculley. Steve Jobs is written by Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, Moneyball) and directed by Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, Trainspotting).
This theatre features reserved seating. The host will be sitting in row D. The group will meet back up in the lobby after the move before heading to dinner.
